Blech The title is such a misnomer Why are fish and fish oil even mentioned in a book with this title That said, the recipes seem to be vegan But, yuck I wasn t interested in the nutritional information I can get better from Ginny Messina, Jack Norris, many other vegan R.D.s, and elsewhere.But, some of the individual foods listed are interesting to read about.Many of the recipes require using other recipes on other pages, but some require less fuss.There are two short photo sections the food doe [...]

I love this book I have a huge collection of nutrition, medicinal and cookbooks, but I ll be referencing this gem for a very long time The section on healthy living is invaluable I have books that concentrate on herbs and spices for medicinal purposes from a variety of sources and books that concentrate on vegetables from a nutritional view, but I ve never found a book as comprehensive as this one that concentrates on how to improve upon health issues with a variety of food you ingest with Vegan [...]

Simply the best reference ever And not just for vegetarians vegans this book is a must have for anyone who enjoys food and loves to cook It explains what to look for when buying, how to store and how to use prepare cook almost EVERYthing fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds, soy foods, whole foods Also a fabulous guide for using whole foods to help with any problems you might be having.Seriously, this is a book I ll be buying to keep handy for the rest of my life
