    1. I read this in the anthology A Gentleman For All Seasons It is refreshing because right from the beginnjng we just know the MCs are not destined to end up as dukes, duchesses, princes or princess, maybe not even respectable country gentry Already tarnished by their separate pasts, their journey is learning about each other, with a growing fondness based on who they are at their core and not what society, or themselves, have labeled them This story has some very dark elements,as our heroine s pas [...]

    2. I very much enjoyed this short novella It was a historical romance that had an interesting twist to it It was a quick read that was immensely enjoyable Caroline Martin is not your average heroine She has a secret that is worse than any village gossip could believe She trusted the wrong man and it cost her everything Peregrine Lochley is a dandy and the youngest son to boot He has been exiled by his family to the country and is on the verge of being disowned When Caroline and Lochley meet is rock [...]

    3. THE SUMMER OF WINE AND SCANDAL by Shana Galen is alternatively touching, hilarious, and very romantic Caroline Martin is living in shame, when Peregrine Lochley arrives into town and changes everything In spite of looking like such a superficial fop, he is adorable, and what a joy it was to witness Caro and Lochley form a united front, and I was dying to know what their secrets were It was such a wonderful story that I was sorry to see it end so quickly I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader [...]

    4. This was an interesting take on a historical fiction The characters are definitely not perfect We have a broken woman that is trying to stop bring shame to the family The story was heart warming but just horrible to think that in those days the girls were blamed when it was definitely not her fault.

    5. I loved this book in fairly new to Shana Galen, but I enjoy her books This book was quick and easy She is such a sweet person too
