    1. A great audiobook narrator makes you forget you are listening to an audiobook You feel like you are living the story, rather than just reading it Hence the magic of audiobooks throws glitter and does a pseudo mystical dance Lane Hayes, or whoever picked Tyler Stevens, is a very smart person indeed His range of voices MADE the story for me I loved Jay s sexy southern voice and Peter s masculine voice as an awesome counterpart The narrator rocked this story out and made it a great listen Now onto [...]

    2. 3.5 Stars This is probably my least favorite of the series.ere must have been a reason why I skipped this one and read all of the others Needless to say, I still liked it I don t remember Jay and Peter much from the other books, other than their names Certainly not enough to remember personalities I think my biggest complaint about this book is Jay He just plain annoyed me I will say he did grow on me some I liked the plot and the whole office romance And I liked Peter, but sadly we didn t get h [...]

    3. Written March 1, 20143.3 Stars a slightly chewy and very sweet Office Romance marshmallow chubbyOften, when I m reading a tricky, rough, hilarous, complex and sometimes even weird and kinky PNR, fantasy, dystopia, sci fi or a very tough crime romance, I usually say to myself that I should read simple sweet contemporary romances instead Just simple, lovely and digestible M M books to absorb in the reading corner here at home But then when I do just that, like now, then I m sometimes pretty restl [...]

    4. I read Lane s first book, Better Than Good, in July 2013, absolutely loved it and gave it 5 stars, so when I was offered a chance of reviewing this one I jumped at it I must admit I was surprised to find it was Peter and Jays story because in book one they re already an established couple and obviously very much in love so I was expecting a new couple and the build up to a new romance, but that s so not the case and I m really happy with the outcome. The book actually begins in the timeline of bo [...]

    5. 4 starsI really enjoyed this book Lane Hayes writes great stories and this one was no different I ve read Better Than Good last year and loved it I expected no less from this one An office romance was exactly was I was looking for and Jay and Peter were great together I loved the slow burn, I even liked the hot and cold attitude Peter had towards Jay This was a light read with low angst and I really loved the sweet ending

    6. 2.8 Not So Better Stars An awesome BR, reading a not so awesome book.I wish I could have loved this one, as much as I loved Better Than Goodbut I didn t So much could have been different to improve this story, but unfortunately it lacked in a lot of areas From too much description in places they saw, people they met etc To the characters not spending enough time together, resulting in a weak love story and equally weak bond But then again, that s just my opinion guyss your choice whether you re [...]

    7. For those who ve read Lane Hayes s debut book, Better Than Good, you might remember Jay and Peter as Aaron s friends In that book, we know that Jay and Peter have been partners for five years This is the story of how they metI found this story pleasant to read the romance was pretty straightforward, with a slightly teeny tiny Harlequin vibe to it What do I mean by that Well, Jay was a likable guy, very loyal to his friend, liked to jump to conclusions he thought Peter was straight and had a girl [...]

    8. I m pretty new to the writing of Lane Hayes I quite enjoyed book 1 of this series, Better Than Good, and we met Peter and Jay in that book As of Better Than Good, they have been together for about 5 years and are gloriously happy.Better Than Chance is kind of a prequel of the series, because it goes back to when Jay Reynolds first meets Peter Morgan and tells the story of how they started out The whole story, except the prologue and epilogue, is a flash back to their early relationship.Jay and P [...]

    9. Wonderful and romantic I was in a mood for something fluffy cuteand sweetd this book delivered just that.It also delivered beautiful chemistry and courage to fight for what you deserve At the end it left me feeling all loved up in this fairy tale style romance.Very enjoyable

    10. I can t give this book anything less than 5 starsLane Hayes delivered She delivered chem is try kem str nounthe complex emotional or psychological interaction between two people their affair was triggered by intense sexual chemistry She delivered Sexual tensionSexual tension is a social phenomenon that occurs when two individuals interact and one or both feel sexual desire, but the consummation is postponed or never happens She delivered lovel v nouna person or thing that one lovesverbfeel a dee [...]

    11. The words All the words Loved Jay Loved Peter Not really sure what their problems were but I wanted to see them happy so I read on My biggest problem with this series is all the unnecessary words Lemme splain I remember a lesson while in English class way back when We were told not to repeat the same word too often when writing a story Use a thesaurus she said It will introduce you to new words she said Of course that s exactly what it did It was a tool to help expand the vocabulary of us young [...]

    12. This book made me increasingly claustrophobic By its end, I wanted to crawl out my skin and hurl my headphones away. There was too much And way too little.Too much Everyone is exquisitely gorgeous, darling.Everyone is a rich, successful yuppie, honey.Everyone is white.Except for one Asian American at a sushi restaurant and one African American lawyer who speaks as if she s from BedStuy and bops her head and wrings her neck, who incidentally works at the lower class firm to which Jay relocates.Eve [...]

    13. Wonderful Loved it from first to last page, no over the top drama, but a nice flowing story of two men meeting and getting to know each other I loved following along Jay and Peter onto their HEA.

    14. Jay Aaron s high maintenance stubborn bestie from Better Than Good is involved in an intense work project where his work crush, Peter Morgan, is the team leader However, once I had to interact with him, infatuation fled and I was left wondering why the most gorgeous ones were either straight, taken, or just plain assholes When Peter helps rescue Aaron from an incident at the bar, Aaron informs Jay Hunky boss man has the hots for you and sets them up on a date under the guise of meeting Peter for [...]

    15. A Love Story Jay Peter, OMG, So good The Book My Personal Thoughts Okay, the pic, it is close to how this love story un folds, but not exactlyyou will have to read this book to see who said what, and it s cute and that part is ooh so worth it So what s in the bookwell, A Love Story plain and simple, and there not really anything else I can call this one But, nevertheless, this is a love story sweetly written love story, and I must admit a good love story does work for the heart sometimes, this o [...]

    16. Another great buddy read with the girls.which is than I can say about the book Light, fluffy, disappointing and fairly pointless 3 stars.

    17. I went back and forth on this book for a few different reasons I was a little annoyed right off the bat because chapter 1 prologue starts with Jay talking about their upcoming wedding then we jump back to the start of the their story It s a romance, I know they re gonna end up together For me, this throws off my rhythm and felt unnecessary It didn t add anything view spoiler I guess the purpose is so the wedding epilogue feels full circle, and I will concede that But again, the wedding epilogue [...]

    18. This was one of those amazing books that take you completely by chance pun intented I started reading it on my phone while driving but immediately found that I couldn t put it down when I got home I had to put everything else I was reading aside and pick this up Which I did So after almost 8 hours of nonstop reading I came to an end And it was totally worth it This is a sweet, tender and emotional story, without much drama but which eventually got angstier the closer it came to the end I so LOVE [...]

    19. Reread 2 27 15 Loved Peter he was successful, smart, sexy And despite his commitment issues, he obviously comes around This was better than the first book

    20. What a wonderful, wonderful story. After reading the first novel Miss Lane Hayes published Better Than Good I was surprised by her easy way of writing and her ability to get you sucked into the story she had written, especially being a new author That is such a wonderful surprise as a reader So, when I was offered a chance to review this second book at her request, I jumped at the opportunity. In my review of part one I said I was hoping for a story about Jay and Peter and this novel brings just t [...]

    21. Overall book rating 4 I want it all stars Audio book Narrator Tyler Stevens 3.5 Stars Book cover 2 StarsThis was a romantic story I really loved it Jay was a fluffy and sweet character Peter was just Peter

    22. I honestly did not understand why Peter s baggages gave him commitment issues Yes there was conflict but that s it There was also little chemistry between the two MCs, I found myself just wanting it to end.

    23. This story was mushy but not overly sweet, this is the typical love story and these kind are my favourites. Why I didn t rate it 5 stars because even when it was quite lovely still had a little bit of clich , silly assumptions and sometimes immature behaviour But, overall a cute story.

    24. Better Than Chance is solid, good sequel prequel to the first installment in the series Better Than Good A pre and sequel both because while the main part predates Better Than Good, the short prologue and epilogue play after that one ends It focuses on Jay and Peter, who already appear in Better Than Good as a couple, and we get the story of their first meeting and their path to happy togetherness Which is not without bumps on the way I already really liked Jay in Better Than Good, and I loved r [...]

    25. Ok, this is the reason why you should write reviews when they are fresh, and not wait two days Darn, I know I had a couple of complaints with this one I know I didn t enjoy it nearly as much as the first in this series.Oh yes, the repetitiveness The constant use of my lover , and how several times, Peter s hair being longer than the last time I d seen him , I guess he didn t get a haircut through the whole story I did like Jay and Peter, although I wasn t quite sure why Peter was so insistent he [...]

    26. So I m gonna go ahead and be in the minority again and just say this book wasless than impressive Jay is judgmental and just always assumes he knows what s going on, and while I can understand this in terms of wanting to watch the character grow and learn, he never really suffers any consequences for his rude, unfair behavior Peter was, at best, an almost non entity, and his flat personality paired with Jay s overbearing obnoxiousness made this an irritating read.
